The data we collect
- Contact details you give us through our contact form, by email or by phone, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name and the content of your message.
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through server logs and, only if you consent, analytics cookies.
- Information about our business relationship if you become a client, such as billing details and project correspondence.
We do not knowingly collect data from children and we do not collect special category data.
How and why we use your data
- To reply to your enquiry and provide quotes. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To deliver services to clients. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To keep accounting and tax records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To keep this website secure and working. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To understand how the site is used and to measure marketing. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To send marketing emails. Lawful basis: your consent, or for existing clients, the soft opt-in under PECR. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Who we share your data with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting and database providers, email providers and our accountants. They act on our instructions and are bound by contracts that protect your data. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner.
How long we keep your data
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for six years after the end of our relationship to meet legal and tax requirements. Analytics data, if you consent, is kept for no longer than 26 months.
